The Century Arms VSKA Dong Rifle is a semi-automatic rifle that features a chrome moly barrel, a matte blue finish, wood stock, and wood dong handgaurd. It is calibered at 7.62×39, capable of holding 30 rounds while also featuring a barrel just over 16 inches long.
The VSKA (pronounced vis-kuh) is a new, heavy-duty AK rifle that has been re-engineered from the ground up. Critical components, such as the bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp, are made using S7 tool steel — that’s the same steel used in jackhammer tips and excavator teeth. S7 tool steel has maximum shock resistance and high compression strength, while retaining toughness.
About the manufacturer: Century Arms
Century Arms is a firearms importer and manufacturer ironically founded by a typewriter repairman in the 1960s. The repairman, William Sucher, was compensated for a repair with a Lee-Enfield rifle he didn’t need and posted a newspaper ad to sell it. After receiving more queries about the rifle than his repair services, Sucher changed his career path from fixing typewriters to finding surplus firearms. He and his brother-in-law secured contacts for surplus firearms in foreign militaries, and by the 1970s, Century Arms was the largest importer of firearms in Canada and the United States.
